View Full Version : Tandy goldpatch cables, where from
Ever since the Carphone warehouse shut down Tandy i haven't been able to find those interconnects that they used to sell. They were slim , the cable was black and the plugs were gold coloured with little gold springs extending about an inch or so back from the plugs.
They were great value and ideal for my budget system. now I need some more and can't find them. Anybody seen them anyplace else?
Thanks
Phill
Try Maplins. They have a website as well...

I'm sure they do similar cables, but not sure if as competetive as Tandy used to be. Good Luck
Thanks for the link dekard but maplins aren't that great for cables. They have one set for £8.99 which look alright but that's overpriced in my oppinion.
I'm amzaed that there wasn't an outcry at the time when carphone warehouse closed down Tandy. I'm not the only person who swore by there interconnects. Even some audiophiles said that their £5 for 0.5m, leads were better than many leads at three times the price.

Is it those ones that are REALLY hard to pull out of the socket? I've got one as well. Think Whathifi gave then 4 stars years back Have you tried the BTECH ones Beyond Hifi (http://www.beyondhifi.com) have?
They are the ones that are difficult to unplug. I just think that they're the dogs danglies.
I looked at the btech cables from beyond-hifi. TBH, they didn't look very good to me, looked kind of cheap, I know, what they look like is the ultimate test of lead quality :D
Anyway, i found ones that look like them on lektropacks, I've ordered them, won't know if they're exactly the ones but they were the right price so I'm sure they'll be fine.
