sony bravia tech help plz

Having problems with my sony bravia KDL-40X2000 tv. Is 9 months old and rarely used. Turned it on today, and it starts to turn on, standy light goes green and you can hear sound, after a few seconds, standby goes red and it is off again.... the standby light flashes red 9 times, the manual says to contact sony, but does anyone know the reason for this problem and an easy, fast fix please.
