I help at a charity Day Centre and am looking for help in deciding on a large screen (48" approx) playback of DVD. A donation allows up to about £2000.
Preferably a Monitor rather than TV but I think they are more expensive than similar size lcdTV - are there standalone Monitor/DVD units?

TV reception not planned - only to be used for DVD. Understand TV licence not a problem if only for DVD playing.

Any makes or types of screen that you can recommend?

Ideally a Unit with built in DVD player but I cannot find any with larger screen.
Suggestions appreciated.

Large TV I would have thought. As long as you do not connect an ariel you should be OK on the licence issue.

If its purely for DVD playback you should be able to pick up a large 720p fairly cheaply.

Any thought on largest TV screen with DVD combo?

It will be fixed on a wall I believe LCD are lighter than Plasma so that would be preferred option.
