View Full Version : Any holiday recommendations for £150-200?
My wife is thinking of popping off to Europe with a friend to take the children for a break during half-term. Looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful (and warm~ish). Any suggestions??
We live a few miles away from East Mids airport so any decent offers from the new guys there (Go-something??) would be more than welcome :D
You will be lucky to find any package holidays for under £200 during half term week.
Prices rise substancially when the kids are off school.Kids are usually full price on late deals too :(
I am going to Gran Canaria the week before Feb half term and brochure price (direct holidays)was cheaper than the late deals. There was no extras for transfers or meals on the plane either (like they now charge for on late deals).
The cheap flight operators from East Mids (Go and BMI Baby)haven't started yet unfortunately. It would be cheaper to go independant at the expensive school holiday periods.
The best bet is checking teletext online.Select to view the TV ads (these are often better than the holiday search).
GOOD LUCK ;)
simes - thanks for the pointers. I'm a big fan of teletext as well - had several holidays off them including the honeymoon :D

It was an all inclusive diving trip to Tobago at the best hotel on the island (The Coco Reef - as assessed by wishyouwerehere ;)) where we made sweet love and conceived our first child

Try Late Escapes (http://www.uk.mytravel.com/lateescapes/) although I'm not sure there'll be too many bargains for that time of the year.
try www.holidaysbyphone.com

Try Bargain Holidays (http://www.bargainholidays.com). I'm thinking of going to Tenerife at easter with my g/f, we only have to get flights though because my aunt and uncle have a villla they let us use. :D
