:thumbs:I have the above amp connected to my PS3 via optical cable ... got a Tannoy 5.1 system connected to it
now this amp has all the bell's and whistles except HDMI audio.
When I watch Blu-ray disks I usually feel as if the soundtrack is lacking the 'oomph' factor and often have to crank up the volume...I am also not sure whether I am getting full surround effects ...the music track on Blurays also seems to be quite soft ...
The PS3 is set to output audio as BITSTREAM through the optical cable. This is the only way I get DD 5.1 or DTS 5.1 as otherwise the PCM output is only 2 channel
The amp sounds great when playing back conventional DVDs through my Samsung HD850 DVD player (connected through COAX) ... conventional DVDs in my PS3 are not too bad either...
anyone know whether I am getting complete audio playback from my PS3 (for Bluray playbacks) ...when streaming to this amp..i.e. all music tracks, dialogue and surround tracks?
are there any known issues or fixes?
