what do you think???
well let me tell you a story.
just before xmas i decided to buy my first DVD player, long story short, i bought a GRUNDIG GDV230 from dixons £140(now£150) and i thought i got a bargin untill i realized that for 140 quid i could do a dam sight better regarding features. the 230 is a basic machine to say the least, but i thought , well it probabvly cost more cos its a grundig, a well respected name or something like that, anyway. so im looking at the tesco website and i see an ORION DVD player that looks exactly like my grundig apart from the orion tab,of course.oh, and its only £99.99

now i know that the machine is the same one cos i actually looked inside my player and found ORION chipsets on the circuit board. so as far as i can see dixons are selling an Orion DVD player with a little grundig plaque on the front and passing them of as grundig players. if you even go to the grundig website there is absolutely no mention of this player. so basicaly i'm out £40 cos dixons are conning people into buying goods that arent made by the manufacturors on the box.now this may be standard practice, but i'm bloody livid and they should at least tell people that the products they sell are not genuine items.
or of course i could be completely wrong*shrug* i'm still out £40,though. and my DVD is not made by Grundig its made by ORION.:brickwall
i couldnt even take the bloody thing back as i'd have to tell them i opened the player to prove my point.:( :brickwall
Mods: if the title of this thread is unacceptable, then just remove it and replace with-DIXONS are the anti-christs prefered electrical retail outlet. or you could just close it. i dont care i'm too angry:mad:
