Did a quick search and couldn't find a thread, apologies if this is a dupe...

Don't know if I'm imagining things, but I remember stumbling over a website or maybe an application (songbird?) that searched and collated blogs that had music on them. Let you also search every blog it had links to. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

NB., not pirate stuff, just looking for a random stream of stuff to listen to at work.

Thanks

I'd be surprised if there are any music blog aggregators out there that solely focus on legal sites.

Can't you use last.fm's radio facility or something along those lines to listen to music?

Ah, I hadn't thought of that (the legalities of listening to music posted on blogs and the forum rules). Will give last.fm a shot.

cheers

Last.FM will do it.

The site you're looking for is the Hype Machine. When I've used it the stuff it's brought up has clearly been approved (even if tacitly) by record companies. They request the MP3s taken down otherwise and all the Music Bloggers I know comply to such requests with alacrity.

... with alacrity.

Ooh! Get you, James Murray (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Murray_%28lexicographer%29)

Yep there seems to be an unwritten rule between the artists/labels and theblogs that a couple of tracks is good advertising.
