A quick heads up for fans of Hells Kitchen.

World-renowned chef GORDON RAMSAY is back for a fourth course of the sizzling unscripted series HELL’S KITCHEN. Wannabe restaurateurs slice and dice their way through each episode, vying for Ramsay’s attention in hopes of winning a life-changing culinary prize.

The “steaks” are higher than ever -- the winner of the competition will earn a coveted senior chef position at Ramsay’s new restaurant, Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood, which is scheduled to open in summer 2008.

Looks like they get to work for Ramsey this time rather than win a share of a restaurant, just about to watch the first episode which went out last night.

It may have been the few beers I'd had but that was one of the funniest episodes I have seen in a while.

A good opener I thought.

"If you ever wear a hat like that in my kitchen again, I'll stick it up your arse sideways".

Don't understand what the big deal was with the firing on Ep2. They've done it before.

Anyway, would have been more of a shock if they had fired Petroza fro the men's team :D

That was the biggest twist we've seen ever!

A DRAW in Hells Kitchen!

Next weeks looks even better !!!!

So what channel is this on? Is it possible to pick it up in the UK yet?

No real surprise as he's booted people off like that before although I did think for a minute it might have been Corey as he also doesn't like it when people are put up for wrong/tactical reasons.

They all seem utterly clueless at the moment but still early days.

No stars showing yet this year. Last year I picked out Rock from the first couple of eps.

Can't say I'll be queueing up to at at London:LA after his new appointment! :)

I'm getting kind of tired of the same format now. The bitching, the shouting and the constant repeating of shots and 'shocking' elements we've only just seen is beginning to grate with me.

I like watching Gordon Ramsay but i think he's become a puppet now and is just going through the Mr. Nasty motions week after week.

What annoyed me this week is Petrozza openly admitting he hadn't worked on a 'line' in over 20 years. How did he become a finalists then? How did any of them for that matter, based on some of their efforts in the kitchen, get through the first round let alone be in the final show?

Johnr
23-04-2008, 23:59
Jean Philippe vs Ramsay in Episode 4 -

But I can't WAIT for Episode 5 as it is a 'shocking!!!111 Hell's Kitchen' :notworthy

ben.bayliss

Ep5 predictable. Girl leaves with bad hand so no elimination.

My prediction for the ep6 'new chef' reveal:

Julia from season 3 who Ramsay said he'd put through culinary school

Johnr

Every episode this season seems like it MUST have 'something never been seen before on Hells Kitchen'

Makes you wonder what they'll come up with next season :notworthy

OMG at next week's hells kitchen!!! They basically spoiled who wins/loses

Why didnt the new chef arrive.... maybe next week (although ep4 end did state romance would happen next week, which was last week, and it happened this week... and wasn't really romance more of "I'm using him... I have a boyfriend")

Vman
07-05-2008, 22:15
I think the new chef was Matt joining the girls.

Reran the previous episode and the spoiler said something like "a team gets a new member" then a shot of Ben saying "they dont know what they inherited"

Johnr
07-05-2008, 22:45
I thought he was going to do a SHOCKING!!!111 double elimination and then bring in a new chef.

Clever editing as usual

Ono

The continuity on this show is stonkingly bad.

Look at the time on the village clock when they are given their task:

8.20am
Then it cuts to the clock at 9am.
Then the clock counts down to 8.45am at the end of the shopping trip.

Additionally, all the editing to show the daughter and mum waiting for their food :|.

One Chef... cuts more than corners!

With the reputation of Hells Kitchen on the line... Chef Ramsay hits the wall.... all next time on Hells Kitchen, an episode you have to see to believe...

Man I can't wait, but I'm sure I say this every year, I really still don't see a winner... urg
:)

Johnr
16-05-2008, 20:58
Well to be fair they probably gave half of the next episode away in the preview...

Robby
28-05-2008, 21:14
Pffft, fix. There's no way Louross should have gone. He had a bad service, they all do, but he's been consistently one of the better chefs. Just how many second chances will Matt get?

My prediction is a bitch on bitch finale Corey V Christina

My prediction is a bitch on bitch finale Corey V Christina Yes but what about the cooking.... ?

No "next week on Hells Kitchen" preview... boo how will I spend my free time now ?

What a terrible service though, you'd think by now they might actually be getting to be ... good ... ...

No sorry how idiotic of me =)

Yes but if they were getting good there would be no "SHOCKING NEVER SEEN BEFORE YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT UNLESS YOU SEE IT WITH YOUR OWN EYES" moments

And I was also gutted with the lack of the next show preview

That clanging noise you hear is the sound of them inserting the advert for Gordon's new cookware!

I better inform the hospital my heart will need starting up again after watching next weeks heart stopping episode

The elimination actually shocked me for once, I had Bobby down as a finalist (AKA Rock v2!). I would not have minded so much had they not been up against Jen :gag:

Ono
12-06-2008, 06:29
Unless GR has a serious hard-on for Jen (can't think of any other reason why she stayed) , the final two are the blondies.

Even then, I wouldn't trust either with my restaurant.

Ding dong the witch is dead

I wonder how many totally non setup EXPLOSIVE!!11 events will be on next weeks show

And Ramsay seems to have been a bit busy with the women judging by this weeks challenge :n0rty:

Also it looks like Kitchen Nightmares USA is back for a new series. Excellent. :notworthy

At least Jen is gone, Petrosa has to be in the final, don't think he'll win it though.

*So* glad Jen has gone. Two episodes behind in watching, but been spoiling myself in the hope she'd go!

Overall been really disappointed with the series so far, most of them seem either incompetent or unpleasant. Or both. More often both.

Ono
19-06-2008, 06:02
Petroza won't make the final surely? Has to be the two bimbettes.

My money is on Christina. She has come across very strongly recently and is only 24 years old.... so has plently of time to be moulded by GR.

I love Gordon Ramsey - he is SUCH a man . . . swoon swoon . . .

My money's on Petrosa. Don't know why, just think he'll get it.

Me too. He is consistent and has shown improvement. He can cook . I can't remember the last time he got a thrashing by Gordon. It's only that he is messy and Gordon did say this epsiode " If you produce food that good I don't care if your messy"

Ono
20-06-2008, 11:59
Yeah, but the health inspectors would close down his restaurant in a heartbeat

Ono
25-06-2008, 06:49
Wow, genuinely sad to see Corey go. Would have been sad to see any of the final 3 go as they all seem very nice.

My money i still on Christina but it could be down to whichever poor sod gets lumbered with Matt and/or Jen next week

Johnr
25-06-2008, 17:55
I made some popcorn to watch this episode and burnt it

"I've been wondering if I've got the right finalists"

36Degrees
25-06-2008, 18:21
Booo Corey deserved to be in the final over Christina in my opinion !

Next weeks looks shocking, but I always hate these end episodes, the Ramsay-bleep-o-meter goes down to like 5...

Johnr
02-07-2008, 22:23

The London executive chef sounds REALLY out of place on the final challenge

I knew they would take the "I wonder if I've got the right finalists" quote wayyy out of context

And why do I get a sinking feeling they are splitting the finale into 2 episodes :suspect:

Johnr
02-07-2008, 22:41
Oh I REALLY CAN'T WAIT!!!111 for the MOST EXCITING!!!111 Hell's Kitchen finale EVER!!!111

I was on the edge of my seat when they created the cliffhanger as to who Petrozza would pick as his final team member until they kind of gave it away less than 10 seconds later in the next episode preview

Gotta love random US twists like Whoopi Goldberg (Who?! :|) randomly showing up for 30 seconds...

36Degrees
02-07-2008, 22:44
That was the best bit (Whoppi Goldberg) by far ! I don't think the Ramsay bleep-o-meter went off... and I was upset that it's over two weeks... doh thought it was always 1 week (I'll make the same mistake next year, think S1+S2 were 2 in one week, S3 was in 1?).

Oh well, Petroza has lost imo based on his current team (didn't see who his third pick was in the trailer... but It's still an exciting Hells Kitchen I won't want to miss).

It'll be on ITV2 around August / September I would guess.

Just realised that I was in Times Square when that scene with the limo was shot!

We were on our way back to the hotel after eating dinner and stopped to see who would get out of the limo.

Didnt see myself(or the missus) but at least now I know what he was up to. It was October last year.:)

Robby

I was trying to work out the time frame as there looked like an advert for something coming Nov 2 (i think) and there also look like a promo for the return of Lost (S4).

Also if i remember reading correctly in Ramsay's Playing With Fire i'm sure he said that he was due to film S4 and 5 at the end of 2007.

Woa I can say I honestly didn't know who had won it at the end there, wasn't that clear cut, despite when I saw the teams I kinda said "yeah its now obvious who the winner is"

Heart stopping, shocking moments this episode, even Ramsay was swearing, wasn't going smoothly for either thank god !

I still miss Bonnie though :(

Erm actually they spoiled the winner around 11 minutes in :dork:

Mills
09-07-2008, 22:28
Glad I wasn't watching that carefully then, as I managed to remain unspoiled for a change!

Don't think I'll be watching another season unless I hear good things about it, found this one far too disappointing. Just depends on whether my GR love wins out over this seasons general rubbishness, most of which stemmed from the contestants, the majority of whom I didn't like and also didn't seem to be able to cook that well. I can cope with one or the other, not both!

Ono

Hardly the most exciting finale ever to be honest.

Jen came across as a real bitch again though.

Jen came across as a real bitch again though.

I've come across quite a few people like Jen quite often throughout my life. I'm just at awe at how on earth people like her think they're the best even if they don't win by quite a margin. Total freak of a woman :cuckoo:
