View Full Version : Nokia 3120 LCD replacement
My Nokia screen cracked last night (Not the casing, the screen!) and it makes noises so it seems as if I just need to replace the screen
A few on eBay (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=44), is it easy enough to do myself? Or will a mobile shop be able to do it?

A decent mobile shop (but not a network retail outlet) may offer to do the replacement screen for you. I know there are a few near me that would definitely do it so you are best ringing and asking. Is the phone out of warranty? If it is in warranty, some of these shops are recognised Nokia centres and will fix it for you. I don't know about the difficulty of trying to do it yourself but I do know that everything like this I try to do myself always goes wrong so I personally leave it to the pros. Hope the comment about shops and warranty helps mate. Another thought is are you on contract with insurance? silly question I knw but some people don'tthink they can claim for this kind of thing.

Its my work phone! Which is why I need to keep the repair stealth
Found a guide and it looks fairly easy once the screws have been popped off, I did a repair on a 3510i a few years ago so hoping this is similar.
Did ring one mobile shop and they wanted £20 to do the repair which quite frankly is more than the phone is worth these days!
