View Full Version : Ebuyer, WOW!
I placed a order for a 'GeForce 3' card yesterday afternoon, late around 3pm and was expecting to have to wait for it (only used standard 3 day delivery) and there to be problems going by everyone else experiences with them.
It has just turned up today! Cracking service, i think i will put more orders there way as there prices are very good.
Just thought i'd let everyone know that there service is not all that bad all the time. Rizel

They're not so you may have been lucky. Be wary in future. And also, let's hope it doesn't go wrong! :D
I've placed around 6+ orders in the last 6 months via EBUYER for various things from components to media and I've never had a problem. The goods have always turned up within 3 days, even when items have been out of stock!. I'm guessing the problem is in returning faulty goods which I haven't had to do yet.
I've read bad things about scan + dabs for returning though.
Totally agree, superb service. Me and my mate ordered 2 geforce 3 graphics cars and a cheap case, the graphics cards arrived today (even though we selected three day service) but the case didn't arrive. I phoned ebuyer and they said they would speak to the courier and they phoned back within 20min and told me that city link couldn't locate it so they where sending me another one out the same day for next day delivery. So even though the case has been lost i will still get it within 3 days.
Also this is not my first order and have had no problems with them at all.

I agree - have had three orders recently and they've all arrived within 2 days of the order plus the carrier tries twice to deliver - all orders over £100+vat = free delivery and some of their prices are excellent especially the weekend deals.

Sent a faulty item to them and recived a replacement in under 2 weeks, which seeing as it has to be tested etc isnt bad.
ordered 300 quids worth of stuff last week, they claim to have delievered it, which they may well have done, but sadly not to me :/
But I'm sure they'll sort it

Mostly was it delivered by citylink (think thats who ebuyer use) if so dont get me started with them :( took them nearly a week to deliver a printer from buy.com which should have been next day. :brickwall
ah, City Link, the most useless company in the world.

I'll post a general thumbs up for them as well.
I sent my K7s5a back after I blew it up expecting them to tell me to get lost, but they replaced it, and got it to me next day, which's faster than their normal delivery!
Their website is still crocked though and is leaking account information, even after I emailed the MD and told him about it.
no answering phones, no answering emails, no answering faxes. Failure to comply with your wishes. Sending goods that you never asked for, then charging your credit card for them. Refusing to credit your credit card with the money they illegally took . Crap service, crap company.
Yep no response to emails, even when i ask them to cancel a return - they send the wrong speed memory ! pc100 instead of pc133 .... I decided it was not worth the hassle.
No response to my request for a printed invoice.
No luck getting to them on the phone.
They deliver quick, but there after sales service is utter shoddyness.

Only ever placed one order with them, for 2 items that were shown as 'in stock'.
7 full days after I place my order, the items were still showing as 'awaiting processing' - so I cancelled my order & went elsewhere......

ditto, couldn't agree more.
Sat in a bloody telephone queue for half an hour with electronic reminders stating what position i was in, which went as follows:
"you are number 14 in line"
" " " " 12 " "
" " " " 10 " "
" " " " 8 " "
- then just as my patience is running out:
"you are number 16 in line" !!!!!!
Ordered a case from them with 300watt PSU - which broke within a month and kept causing my computer to reset it's power.
I ordered a IBM 60gig hardisc around 3pm last firday, got it today!!. Niceone.

I order two graphics cards and a case a few weeks ago, i ordered them about 12.00 got the graphics cards the next day and i phoned up about my case and the said that city link had lost the parcel so they sent me another case and i got that the day after!
Very pleased with the service i know that other people have had bad service from them but they are the cheapist and you get what you pay for! :D
Is their after sales really that bad? Has anyone tried their new online reurns thingymajigger? How well does it work?
It cant be that good ... they have a return waiting for me to send which has been waiting for about 8 months now :D

They sent me a hard drive about a month ago when i had blatantly ordered a external zip drive, knowing that theycan be a bit of a pain I sent them a e-mail telling them to ring me when they want to come and pcik it up.......they did about an hour later picked up the drive and i got the zip the next day, plus a apology for their mistake. Plus last week they saved me £20 on my new monitor (Iiyama VM Pro 413)
I love them :D
I personally hate ebuyer. My last order of 6 items - 5 turned out to be faulty. I bought a whole computer in bits from the net, and had no problems with the hardware bought from other sites. My m8 has had a broken mobo as well on his first order.
The only good thing about them is the delivery, which seems to be pretty much next day....I reckon they airdrop the goods into a warehouse so as to be especially careful to break as much stuff as possible.:(
Who dug this old post up :D Rizel

citylink don't actually do a 3 day service, everything is sent via next day delivery.
if you choose the 3 day option then it just usually sits awaiting processing until the 2nd day
if you choose to pay for next day delivery then you jump the que and it ships straight away

I've use Ebuyer about 5 times in the last few months and everything was delivered within 3 days, luckily I haven't had to send anything back. :)

They're like all the box shifters - great prices, but no customer service. You make you choice really, pay less and get no service if you need it, or pay more but get decent service and support if the need arises.
If i had to i'd still rather use Ebuyer than Scan though!

:( Very poor service recently, sent out the wrong items (cases) and have taken several days to reply. I phoned and was told orders are now done online, RMA still processing after 3 working days.
I will never use them again, especially as this was an urgent (and £500+) order that they stuffed up and are in no hurry to help with.
Very poor
This thread is a year old! How come everyone keeps bumping it up still? Rizel
P.S Still been having cracking service of them through the whole of last year, up there with Komplett IMP.
I ordered a usb compact flash card reader around 3pm Friday afternoon, post man woke me up at 9am this morning (sat), banging on my door for me to sign for it. Top marks to ebuyer.

I have used them a few times over the past year or so and have never had any problems. I still only use them when they are the cheapest though ;)
I bought a CD writer off them and it was here when they said it would be too. Decent price, good delivery. Thats where I'm geting a lot of parts maybe for my new PC as well... :)

Just spent £400 pounds there. Turned out I got some faulty memory.
Filled out the on-line RMA request, sent it back.
Got an email yesterday at 10.05 telling me they had recieved the item. got another email at 10.07 telling me they had tested it and found it faulty. and by 5.00 the same day the replacement is in the post.... top service and will be ordering from again... (or until I get a bad experience )

Ive had absolutely brill service from DSL Warehouse (http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/click?p=14692&a=60823&g=87057) so I may use them again, even though they are slightly more expensive
