Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong with getting the BBC iPlayer to download the programme?

First time I'd ever heard of it was a couple of days ago when DeadYankee mentioned it, so I went to the BBC site and have downloaded and installed the iPlayer setup, I then go to the BBC website and click on 'download programme' (about 600MB) but it refuses to download for me... :(

Any help much appreciated.

Are you running any type of firewall?

If you are, make sure this is not blocking the Iplayer.

Downloaded PQ is better than the streamed PQ. :)

Found the problem, it was just with the BBC servers apparently. Downloaded ok now, thank you!

It seems that the 'poles' are going home and now we are going there for work :lol:

If too many return home we may have a problem filling jobs :lol:

i thought it was a good programme. Highlighted the laziness of some Brits which is the underlying reason why the Poles are filling the jobs we Brits dont like to do. I thought it was ironic that woman who was part of the Peterbrough group peeved off with the Poles taking away 'their' jobs was an Indian - most likely her parents were Ugandan immigrants who were given a home and jobs in Peterbrough 30 odd years ago and now she's against them immigants taking away her jobs :lol:

Ironically this programme may be a few years too late, as they were reporting on the news that Poles had started moving back to Poland. The value of the pound has dropped by about 20% which makes it less attractive for them to be here (especially given the sacrifices they have to make, which the programme highlighted quite well).

Yep, this is all true - as I stated in a thread on the General Discussion forum, a lot of my Polish friends are heading back to their homeland later this year as the pound is losing its power over the zloty and too many sacrifices are having to be made. I could list for you all the things the Poles hate about this country. I could also list all the things they love!

Thought it much better made and more authentic, interesting to see racism in the UK being more casual 'preferring our own' than anything particularly ideological or nasty. Most older people interviewed readily admitted they preferred their white foreign neighbours to native English people, but were more wary of blacks.

Another example of the gap between the 'liberal elite' (who are right in that there are no significant genetic differences between races), and 'the masses' which raises interesting debates

I watched most of it. The BNP guy came off very confused. He couldn't even tell that the kid was actually part African. He was praising him until it was pointed that he wasn't Spanish. :lol:

The jewish guy had it right at the end when he said "we are all human beings"
