Wasn't a big fan myself but remember being impressed by his virtuosity (and he was in Road House so kudos there ;)

No way! :(

What a real loss of a fantastic guitarist. Saw him many years ago at Hammersmith. Whilst his blindness by its nature limited his stage act, his feeling in his playing was beautiful.

And his bending was just  is a :notworthy way.

RIP Jeff.

That is sad news. I had assumed he was a lot older than that.

This is sad news, he was a very talented guitar player and quite a showman.

knew he was ill but still very young. Not really a fan of his type of music but he had some excellent songs and could also play more interesting blues than most conventional players.

So many of my guitar icons are gone now

What a shame, Hell To Pay was a great album but I haven't really paid much attention to his later albums.

41 is no age to go. Saw him a couple of years ago at The Robin in Bilston. Most entertaining and I looked forward to seeing him again.

RIP Jeff.

Had his first fantastic album See The Light, and the follow up Hell To Pay. There was a superb version of Hideaway on that first album. Never caught up with his later stuff. I heard he was much more in a jazz vein in his later albums.

Damn shame he's passed away especially at so young an age.

RIP Jeff

Blinded then a terminal illness at a young age - Some people are dealt are cruel hand of cards. He certainly made the most of his time here and made a lot of people happy. I should count my blessings.

I also saw him at Hammersmith many moons ago, in fact 1st concert I had been too and he was so talented (also remember he did get up and jump around the stage which considering his blindness was an amazing testament to the passion he had for his music)

Sad loss at such a young age :(

His cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps was fantastic.
