Here's a few, some not very recent but definitely worthwhile as they're not very well known.
Loudy - Lost in the City of Sounds; DnB with smoother rhythms, fairly unknown artist, slightly chilled out vibe.
L'Onomatopeur - Accumbens & Always Beating; DnB influences, strictly speaking its breakbeat though. Definitely check this out, both albums are free to download legally from Jamendo.
DJ Marky & Friends Present the Master Plan; More chilled DnB from the Marky, a good mix of tracks and the entire compilation flows well.
Don't know how recent you mean but Matrix & Futurebound album from last year was ace, as was the Future Prophecies album. High Contrasts latest offering is one worth having.
Commix - Call To Mind is an ok album, something slightly different to most other DnB artists, decide yourself whether or not you think it's a good thing.
I liked Bachelors of Science - Science Fiction also.
Heard good things about the new Bad Company record but haven't listened to it more than a couple times myself.

What sort of stuff are you after? I only listen to pretty nasty hard step and the like, but here are a few decent new releases:
Teebee & Calyx - Anatomy EP. There's some crackers on here. Warrior, Make Your Choice, Enygma. The Calyx album, 'No Turning Back' is good too. Few years old now.
Black Sun Empire - Endangered Species. Not as good as some of their stuff, but the Noisia co-labs, 'Lead Us' and 'Winter War' are awesome.
Commix - Call to Mind. This isn't so hard, more liquid really. Be True & How Ya Gonna Feel arre good though.
High Contrast - Tough Guys Don't Dance. Same as above, has a few good tracks on though.
DJ Hidden - The Later After. This is atmospheric dark stuff. Soundscapes with samples..pretty good.
Drum & Bass Arena Presents DJ Hype. This is actually pretty good. Goes a bit crap at times with all the retarded Pendulum circus music style warblers, but it's worth it for Mr Happy by Hazzard.
Some more worth listening too:
Kryptic Minds & Leon Switch - Lost all Faith.
Submerged - Stars Lights The End (this is hard and dirty - Last Gasp of the ----bat is awesome).
Limewax - Scars on the Horizon
Anything by Corrupt Souls Noisia, Evol Intent, SPL, Spor, Chris Renegade, barcode recordings, renegade Hardware or the artists above.
Evo Intent has a new album out next week i think. Era of Diversion. Haven't heard it yet but it's bound to rule.
Check out Lifted Music, Spor, Apex and Chris Renegade's (i think) new label too. They also have 10 free 40 min Podcasts on iTunes which have loads of new songs in.

I probably like a slightly more chilled style, but not an expert. Question was inspired by a documentary I was listening to. :)

Just got a review copy of Hospitality presents This Is Drum + Bass (mixed by High Contrast + London Elektricity) and am really liking what I'm hearing so far. (There will be a competition to win one of two copies going up on The Music Fix this weekend, so keep checking!) Definitely need to get my hands on more stuff by High Contrast.
Any more recommendations?
makoto's 'human elements' lp from a few years back is pretty chilled mate, might be up your street.

The comp had been up for a few days now and you'll still have a very good chance of winning if you enter.

Been a fan of Sub Focus, and they've just released an album, although I think it's just a compilation of the EPs - either way, it fits your Hospital liquid dubstep vibe.
Definitely need to get my hands on more stuff by High Contrast.
Any more recommendations?
You could try London Elektricity - Syncopated City (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=8&url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001DCKXMY/thedvdforums-21), Danny Byrd - Supersized EP (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=8&url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0015P8CHC/thedvdforums-21), Mistabishi - Drop (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=8&url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001MPH82U/thedvdforums-21), Hospital Records - Sick Music compilations (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=8&url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B002APNC4O/thedvdforums-21), High Contrast - Confidential (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=8&url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B002APNC4O/thedvdforums-21) and High Contract - Watch The Ride (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=8&url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0012PK05W/thedvdforums-21) (not bad series of mix albums - think this High Contrast one is the best).

I ordered the High Contrast - Confidential one. (Think that's right anyway - one disc of remixes & one of original tunes.)
as others far more knowlegeable than I have already mentioned, Sub Focus, London Elektricity, Chase and Status, Danny Byrd, High Contrast are all worth a listen
