HI all,

I'm going to holiday this saturday (for a month) but was going to take a k800i phone to take some snaps , but am thinking of taking a proper camera, any suggestions?

my price range is about £50-70, ive seen a
Casio EX-Z75 Digital Camera - Silver (7.2MP, 3x Optical Zoom) 2.6" LCD from amazon for 79.99, it has good reviews,

im just going to be taking pictures of scenery , and normal holiday snaps.

but need other ones that people suggest.

How about a Nikon Coolpix L10?
Available from Agros (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=28&url=http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5605606/Trail/searchtext%3ENIKON+L10.htm) for £60.

My nephew has one and is really pleased with it (especially at the price!)

It is 5MP with 3x optical zoom and gets onto the list of best cameras in the Entry Level section at Steve's Digicams:
http://www.steves-digicams.com/best_cameras.html

Whatever you buy, don't forget to leave enough money for a memory card. Most cameras only come with enough memory to take one or two high res. images.

You can check for reviews at http://www.steves-digicams.com/hardware_reviews.html and http://www.dpreview.com/

Steve's Digicams usually have more reviews but DPreview is sometimes helpful to find out what the name for a camera is in the USA (useful as Steve's Digicams reviews cameras by their USA names). You can jump directly to the conclusion page of the review which is usually good enough to tell you what you really need to know.

One of my friends had a Pentax Optio which just burned through batteries, but I don't know what exact model it was. Kodak cameras don't tend to get great reviews but they do have a few good models. Unfortunately I've never heard of the c613.

There is a review of the Fuji A610 here: http://www.cameras.co.uk/camera-reviews/fuji-finepix-a610.cfm
That is one camera which Steve's Digicams doesn't seem to have reviewed yet!
