I need a guitar amp for small pub gigs. I've been through only a few amps in my time, mostly small practice ones, and never really found one that had a good sound as well as being versatile.
I hear mostly good things about Roland Cubes and they appear to have a large range of sounds/effects built in. Does anybody have experience with these, or are there better alternatives?
I've used Laney, Fender and Vox amps and always found the sounds to be too crunchy. Would I be better to rely on my sounds from an effects unit?
I was considering the 60w model. My budget isn't too large (definitely not over £200) and I don't want to deal with the hassle of a valve amp.
Thanks.
