Where did I see the Sky for £1 thread?

If it's any help, i signed up for SKY with the £1 installation online (http://www1.sky.com/skycomHome/getsky/) last night, but i was worried about being stuck with a 12 month contract for the full package (£37), so i phoned Sky' customer service first to find out if i could chop and change my package at anytime i wanted, the guy said he'd have to ask his manager as he'd never been asked that question before(?) in conjunction with the £1 install offer, anyhoo he came back and said after the first month i could then change my package to whatever i wanted. :)

So £1 for install and 1 month of having the full deal then i can downgrade....sweet!

Prior to signing up online i was in touch with BT to set up a new account (we're moving house next week, non-ntl area and we're currently all ntl) and after i got through the registration malarky the BT chap said they were doing a special offer with SKY, if you're a new customer and you let BT refer you to SKY in return you get £30 off your first bill....however you have to pay £50 (i think he said) for installation, so i let BT patch me through to SKY and the sales bloke kept trying to tell me i'd have to pay for installation no matter what as the £1 installation had ended online etc... and i may as well do it that way to get the £30 discount, after pointing out the offer ends at the end of April, he was still having none of it....put the phone down on the tit in the end.

So my friend if you're going to go for the Sky install, do it ONLINE!!!!!!!!!!

Currently awaiting the SKY documentation to be sent out, with the install booked for the day of the move (Feb 2nd), may as well have all the disruption in the one day.
