Going to Wembley for the first time on Wenesday to see the England game. We'll be coming down from Cambridge so have plenty of options - we could drive but I'm presuming it'd be better to get there on public transport to avoid traffic.

Does anyone have any recommendations on the best method and route to take down there, which station to arrive at etc. We'll be sitting in the south west corner (block 235) if that makes any difference and it says on the tickets our entrance is Club Wembley (tickets were corporate gifts) - anyone know if this means we'll be sitting in a posh bit? :D

Also, what sort of time should we aim to arrive to make sure we're seated in time for kick off? Is there anything to do while you're waiting?

Sorry for all the questions but want to make sure everything goes smoothly on the night!!

Not alot to do in the cheap seats before it starts, not sure about Club wembley. Arrive by 7.30 and you will be fine, depends how many security measures there are but normally 7.45 is also OK for an 8 o clock kick off. Will you be getting the tube or train? Wembley Park is the most convenient tube station on the way there, and you get the nice walk to the stadium with all the other fans and the arch in front of you :D

Also going on Wednesday, drove to the Arena a while ago and it was a nightmare getting in and out. That's with only 7000 people, so I wouldnt even consider it for 60000+
Wembley Park is the easiest tube station to get to/from. Get a train to Kings Cross or Liverpool Street, then get a tube to Baker's Street and then change lines and get a tube to Wembley Park from there

Cheers chaps. Really no idea about travel method at the moment, just want to go with whatever is easiest. Someone told me today that whilst traffic would be an issue with driving, it's easier getting out and then of course you get a straight run home.

If not, can do either train or tube, again which ever is easiest and quickest!

Basically, neither train nor tube are quick if you leave at full time. If you leave 5 minutes before and run/jog to the station then you'll get a train/tube quite quickly and it won't be packed. It takes me an hour and half to get to Wembley, and ~ 3 hours to get home.
