What is the minimum broadband speed needed for playing games online on the PS3?

Online games use very little bandwidth so there is no real minimum speed. Even as low as 128kb would be sufficient. However if your hosting a game then the speed of your connection limits the number of players that can join.

excellent, I thought it was around the 2mb mark, I can only get 512k on ADSL as live too damn far from the exchange and there's no cable
