Just wanted to know what delivery method they use i.e. first class/first class recorded etc.
Also if I order multiple games at the same time from them do they come as one pack or separately like some other suppliers send them
Cheers,

Geezer

I've just had a look at the site and each game comes up as a separate order:confused:

I always get play delivered to work or I have to go and pick the packages up - so I guess they send recorded...

Each disc is sent separately, R2 is usually sent recorded (though not always), & R1 is sent 1st class.

R1 are sent out by first class.

R2 and Games are sent out by recorded delivery and need to be signed for.

Everything is sent out individually, I've never had two items together (and I've used Play a lot !!!)

R2 don't seem to be sent out recorded anymore... or at least on my last 10 or so orders.

Had about seven or eight items last week that I had to go to the PO and sign for (all R2). Whether or not you have to go and sign for them may depend on your postman (some will sign on your behalf - although they shouldnt).

I ordered Halo, Project Gotham and Dead or Alive 3 for the Xbox
Will they be shipped ON release day or shipped to arrive ON release day(March 14th)?

I varies, sometimes they post the disc the thursday or friday before release date, and other times it can be up to 2 days afterwards

Looks like an answer to me m8, you can't be certain when they'll get shipped, and since Play are in Jersey, the mail can take a while to get to people! :(

if the disc is R1, does it get reshipped from Jersey or come straight to my door ?

R1 DVD's are not shipped via Jersey. I think they come from a distribution centre in Belgium (or some similar European country). Ive never had to sign for any of my R1 deliveries from Play.

For R2 DVD's Play generally ship to arrive on day of release (when they have stock). For R1 DVD's they ship when they have stock (this can be weeks before the release date). Ive never ordered games / audio cds but would guess that as they are shipping stuff intended for Europe they are probably treated as R2 DVD's (shipped to arrive on release date when stock is available).

Lots of their CDs are sourced from North America, and whenever I have ordered them they have been sent the same way as R1 DVDs.

I have used Play for R2 DVDs but never for R1, was wondering if you get custom charges on your R1 DVDs?

not really - but it has been known on a couple of occasions with large price orders (most notably with the Die Hard set a while back). Thing is, Play actually refund you the charges!!

Sooper.

Most items are under 18 pounds so dont attract any customs charges. For boxsets and the like Play pre-pay the customs charges on your behalf, so if you get stung contact Play and they will refund the custom charge. Ive never had to pay any custom charges (even on box sets) for items ordered from play.
