Its nearly a year since sky pulled the plug one Sky one etc following the spat with Virgin.
I have since stuck by virgin as tbh, it suits me and with the the help of this forum i got some decent deals with the help of this forum :). Is there any end of the spat in sight though or is it just a case of thats it no more sky one on virgin media?
Also I know it's not too good, but why have virgin not used there v1 channel as a bargining chip?

To be honest I wasn't that bothered when I lost Lost. I had pretty must lost the plot of Lost anyway so no loss.
There's been some interesting stuff on V1, The Riches was good and I have high hopes for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
We shall see. I'm not missing Sky1. The only thing which really interests me is Terry Pratchett's "The Colour of Magic" which will be exclusive to Sky, but I can wait for that to show up on DVD.

To be jonets I dont miss it that much either but there are one or 2 exceptions that I would like to have seen rather then source off the net such as lost (i have the lost the plot 2 but its al part of it for me!), Ross Kemp in Athganistan and one or two others. The Terry Practchet series sounds good as well/

So is there anything good on Sky One right now or is it just Simpons every night as usual ;)

Ross Kemp in Aghanistan is really good and Are you Smarter than a 10 year old quiz is quite funny at times to watch as well oh and Jericho was excellent.
New series of 24 - whenever it comes on.
I HAVE to have sky by then :)
Because the last season of 24 was soooo good?
24 going down the toilet last year was one of the reasons I didn't miss Sky...
But V1 is on sky as well isn't it?
weve got virgin for the phone and net. Had the v+ box last year until I got sick of their lies about the discounts and told them to stuff it. If I was interested in getting premuim tv again I would go for sky, for the the hd stuff. Virgins hd offering is pap.

Yep, can't remember what channel number it is off hand but it is there.

Jericho was excellent.
Jericho wasn't on Sky One though

I can't help but feel that's so laughable.
Sky take Sky1 away from Virgin.
Virgin decide not to play ball, but instead to create their own channel (their own Sky1 if you will)
But allow Sky to have the channel as well
Shame I've got Virgin!

Because Virgin can't afford to lose the additional advertising revenue that comes from the 6 million or whatever subscribers sky have.

doh! I meant Journeyman

Only 3 shows on Sky 1 that I ever watched - The Simpsons, 24 and Lost. New episodes of The Simpsons aren't anywhere near as good and like many people on here, I tend to watch the US versions of the other 2.
Setanta Sports for Sky 1 is a pretty good trade off imo.
