Which DVDs would you pull out to demo your sound system? Mine would be:
Superman: The Movie (R1) - just how good a movie from 1978 can sound!
Almost Famous (R1) - the dts concert scenes on the theatrical cut
Se7en (R1) - dts near-field surround remix...mmmmmmmm :D
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (R1 Superbit) - incredibly detailed sound
Saving Private Ryan (R1 dts) - just for the agressiveness of the opening battle
Charlie's Angels (R2) - great fun! Superb, in-your-face mix.
Gladiator (R2) - the audio in the opening battle is extremely spacious
Now for the worst:
Die Hard (R1 5 star) - people have raved about this, but I found it inconsistent and lacking in fidelity in parts - plus it sounds like a remix
Batman: The Movie (R1) - hmmmmm, mono ain't all that these days
Legend of a Fighter (R2) - good considering the source material, but hard on the ears
Audition (R2) - just really bland
Anyone care to contribute (come on, I'm bored...:D)
