How does this work, doesn't bring up any voucher as far as I can see, or any mention of the £5 off.

I can see why that clause is in there, you pay for your item, get £5 off the postage and get so excited you run out the front door and get run over by a bus, makes complete sense to me

I've wondered what eBay codes are - and how you get them. Not sure I'm any the wiser...

Get the item code and then search through .co.uk and see what happens. You have then met the T&Cs (and of course .co.uk lets you search worldwide anyway).

Not working for me. At the bottom ofthe PayPal payment you see:

http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/6826/71536530ip0.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

Clicking on that will show you the code (if you have it) I assume.

No code so not really a bargain although eBay will be pleased with all the people buying stuff to try the code (maybe best to see if you have the code in your PayPal account first).

Oh, and if someone offers to sell your shares in Skype run a a ******* mile.

In my Paypal account it showed up a coupon when I went to pay

Not sure why they sent me one, as normally I avoid Paypal like the plague when selling on Ebay!

Just had the same thing when trying to pay for a couple of Japanese LE DVDs.

maybe they are trying to encourage people who rarely use Paypal to actually do so again... I've not had a code but have used Paypal a few times quite recently

I always use PP for my ebay stuff. I didn't get an email, but there was a big image on the log-in page of pay-pal following a purchase on ebay. Logged in, applied the code - saved £2.50 postage :)

Bah, didn't work for me despite the home screen showing the save £5er banner. Luckily it was for an "immediate payment required" auction so just didn't proceed with the purchase after I got the invalid code screen. 'Can't be bothered to email paypal or ebay as it'll be a month before I hear back.

Nice discount for all those cheap HK things that charge big postage, small purchase price though, if it works for you.

If this is only open to selected accounts, should it be on the forums?

Well given that most members will have eBay/Paypal accounts I assume, it's a useful heads up to see if you're one of the lucky ones. Er like me ...

But perhaps the code shouldn't be there for all to see.

Worked for me, Saved £5. Check your messages on ebay

Bobo Justus

I tried it on with PayPal (they always answer queries far too quickly (unlike eBay) so put their foot in it quicker) and they slipped up by adding more and more T&Cs and when I pointed out that they added more T&Cs.

We'll see how I get on.

There is always one :D

were you the kid at school who always told tales to the teacher?

The code shouldn't have been posted on here as it is for selected people only and it not available for everyone. Certain companies are quite strict these days with what can and can not be posted on the forums so what pete00 was correct.
