I had the the feeling that both were identical. However, I would go for the Pal version of the film, a nicer picture.

If it's the Dansih movie "Pusher" your're talking about, I can tell you that the transfer in the scandinavian R2 release is quite good, but not anamorphic. The xtras sucks and some of the xtras doesn't work as they were meant too, yet they still don't want to send a new version on the street.

Is Anchor Bay's version uncut? I don't know, try to search at BBFC and find the answer there.

I don't know how much Pusher costs here in England, but in Denmark it's very cheap (99 DK-kroner, I think that's about £7 or something). If you buy it in Denmark you can shop here: dvdoo.co.uk (http://www.dvdoo.co.uk) (I'm not sure if they ship to England but I think they do. You can contact them by e-mail on this adress: kundeservice@dvdoo.dk (they DO understand English).

The Anchor Bay version is 'not rated' so it'll be uncut. There's an anamorphic transfer, a 5.1 track, a half an hour documentary and a commentary from Nicolas Winding Refn and Bill Lustig. I can't confirm for definite what the Region 2 disc is like as I haven't seen it, but I'd be surprised if it tops this. Also, Metrodome's Region 2 DVD of 'Pusher's semi-follow up 'Bleeder' is quite poor, with a weak over contrasty transfer and burnt in subs Tartan style. So based on that, I think it's safe to assume their version of 'Pusher' will be below the standard of the Anchor Bay release...

Cheers...
Damian.

I's sorry I was speaking of "Bleeder" before. But you were talking about "Pusher"....sorry.

I'm almost certain the Metrodome release is the same. Specs are:

Video Aspect Ratio: 16:9 Enhanced Widescreen (is this anamorphic?)
5.1 Soundtrack
Pal Colour

Extras:

Commentary by Nicolas Winding Refn, Making Of, Filmographies, Trailer

If the AB release is not Pal I would be more tempted by the Metrodome release, especially as you will be able to get it a lot cheaper.
