Nope - soz. Isnt there an R2 version out soon? That should be under £20 from Play etc.
I'm gonna sell it on Ebay for £65!!
fair enough! :) are people on ebay that silly?
I heard that "might" be a new R2 version but any word or previews on it? or is it just people hoping because the present R2 version is SO bad?
Thanks

Yep - one word 'Criterion'!! :D
I reckon the R2 will be the same as the Criterion extras wise - the same thing happened with the Dir Cut of Armageddon.

Don't count on the DTS track nor it being uncut!
I've got the Criterion version and the transfer and DTS soundtrack are incredible !!!
If you can get it - get it. Nuff said.

I've read 2 reviews which said the DD 5.1 track is actually better than the DTS track.
Anyone comment on this?

I got my copy of The Rock Criterion from Play, last year, it was £25.99.
Don't know if anywhere else is cheaper.

"Now we get to the big question, "How does the Dolby compare to the DTS?" Let me preface this to mention no tweaking was done in-between comparing the two soundtracks, I kept the volume level consistent when making my audio comparisons. One of the advantages of this Criterion disc compared to most dual Dolby and DTS releases is that you can change audio on the fly, at least on my set up. When flipping between the Dolby and DTS soundtracks, I found the Dolby Digital mix to be more aggressive, not only in the surrounds, but during sequences with a lot of bass, which may suggest that different masters were used. While the DTS audio mix seemed to have more controlled low frequencies, it just didn't have the punch of the Dolby 5.1 mix. The DTS mix seemed to collapse a little more to the front with certain surround effects, especially music, giving the nod to the Dolby track in terms of imaging as well. When I view a Dolby versus DTS disc I'll check the two audio tracks and usually go for the DTS but not this time."

Take it from me and many others - the DTS track is better IMO!
