Have been searching around for ages for flights to New York at the end of the month and notice that Delta Airlines are doing flights from my preferred dates Gatwick to New York for £149 inc tax (Jan 31 to Feb 07 my dates)
I've no experience of flying with them, but that's ridiculously cheap.
They also have Los Angeles £212, Las Vegas £242, Washington £182 among other absurdly cheap indirect flights.
Only checked for my preferred dates though, but it appears Delta are taking the lead in cheap Transatlantic.
Searched via www.kayak.co.uk
excellent prices. We are off again in December 08, i wish this offer extended to then.
This deal has been all over the web today. One of the best uses of it, are trips to Orlando for the Easter school holiday (which aren't actually at Easter in my neck of the woods)...
Virgin - £846
Delta - £245
...on one routing I checked today. Well worth a 2 hour layover in Atlanta to save that amount of cash.
wow! £211 rtn lgw/atl in april - not bad!
usually fly ba long haul but might have to do this to save £100 each :)
quite tempted. Only an extra £18 to fly to NY from Manchester (looking at going early march )

want to go to vegas for mum's 80th birthday-wonder if there will be any good deals for then.
Fancying a week in vegas and a week in the villa.
Very tempted,
so far found £214 return both in/out direct flights with no layovers.
This was for a couple of weeks at end of april.
Anyone found anything cheaper?
Also can anyone suggets a good value place to stay in New York?

Loads of threads on NY in the General Forum with discussion of this. My recommendation would be to use Priceline or Hotwire and potentially get somewhere really nice for a lot less than it should be
I put in a booking for £170 pp return LHR-JFK last night during the April school holiday. It popped up with a problem with my card details so I hope it goes through. I rang them and they said it is in a queue to be dealt with and all looks well with it now, so hopefully I still get them at that price as it is so rare to get a good price for during the holidays (the only time we can go away)

I had some real cracking prices to Vegas during the School Easter Holidays, but whilst deciding on accomodation the prices jumped back up.
