Enemy of the State wasn't bad to begin with (apart from the extras of course) Great transfer, but i will be rebuying that.
Crimson Tide! this was one of the first DVD i bought but i had to give it up becuase the transfer was so bad that it gave me a headache. glad to see a new version of that then!
Shame there is no commentary for Enemy... still it's a fine film nonetheless and one i'll get.
I've never seen Crimson Tide, heard it's quite good so i'm glad that's being rereleased too.
However where's those DTS tracks??. Damn you Disney.

Whats wrong with the original Enemy of The State release? I've got the R2 version, and apart from having no extras I thought it was a decent enough transfer for both audio and picture :)

Does anyone else see 'Crimson Tide' and the previously re-released 'Con Air' as obvious future R1 "Vista Series" releases?
I think I'll hold off on these R2 re-releases for a while.

I watched Crimson Tide DVD on a 72" screen and it looked fine. The 5.1 sound is also very good. Great film.
Hmmmm , that's a shame ;was hoping for a commentary for CRIMSON TIDE.
Still if they have re-mastered the picture to stop all that 'ghosting effect' on the actors' faces that plagued my two R2 copies then this is the version for me.

Too right, I bought the original R1 which was non-anamorphic, once I saw the R2 version, I sold the R1.
One of those rare occasions where R2 was better.......

The problem with the original region 2 Enemy Of The State was that it had bad lip-sync with a lot of earlier players including Pioneer 414 and Sony 725. Newer players and firmware upgrades for those players are fine.
