Shrek layer change bug ?

Just watched Shrek at the weekend & had a problem when going from chapter 11 to 12. the picture stuttered for several seconds then eventually jumped to chapter 13. I tried again & this time got a fault code c:00:00 on my Sony DVP S7700.

I had a similar problem with Matrix (c:00:18 i think) this was sorted FOC by Sony with a simple chip upgrade.

Has anyone else had a similar problem with Shrek ? or have any suggestions?

No it's not scratched.

I remember when talking with Sony technical about the Matrix problem they mentioned somthing to do with the extras for computer DVD roms. That problem was fixed with a software update via chip change.

So I was thinking it may be something similar
