These are ever so slightly cheaper at 4CheapCDs.com (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=15&url=http://www.4cheapcds.com) @ £7.82 for each.

I've never used them before, but every little helps.

Thanks for the initial heads up Sam. Ordered both.

Kevin.

I ordered from cds4cheap or whatever on the 25th, and haven't heard anything from them either! Mind you, another certain retailer still haven't sent out their pre-orders of Zodiac HD-DVD either.

Anyone else recieved their stuff?
I've not placed an order, but foxy seem to have good prices on a few discs I'm interested in.
Anyone heard any chatter about them? Is it safe to order or might I lose 20 - 30squid?

Got Rambo today but still waiting on Total Recall (both from foxy and both ordered on the 25th).

Also ordered Terminator 2 from 4cheapcd on the 30th, money was taken straight away. On the 3rd I got this email

"Hi,

unfortunately due to huge demand for all of our BLU RAY titles, we have unfortunately ran out of stock of the title you ordered, it is on order with our suppliers but to be honest we could not say when this will be arriving back into stock.

We will keep this on order for 14 days, if we cannot get it within this period, we will have to cancel the order and issue a refund.

If you do not wish to wait this period, please let me know and I will cancel and refund the order right away.

Please let me know how you wish to proceed.

Please note that if you wish to cancel, please get back to us ASAP as if we do not hear from you before the item comes back into stock, it will automatically be dispatched.

Kind Regards
John"

I replied asking to cancel and have a refund but havn't heard anything back (no refund either).
It was HD-DVD as well, not bluray.

am i missing something, but if films of this age were not shot in HD, how can they be HD when they are transfered to disc. I dont know if they were shot in HD or not, but most things over 5 years old on tv wasnt. does this apply to movies, and if so, what year was the point to look out for. there must have been a time, when older films were not, or cannot be HD.

You are missing something - they were shot on film, which doesn't have a "resolution" as such, as it is analogue. SD, or HD encodes will never be as good as the original film print, because information is lost during the digitisation.

STILL waiting for Total Recall since before Christmas from Foxy

Absolutely shocking service.

Is there not a speed up issue with Total Recall UK version? I have bought the one from France as this is supposed to be a better release.

There is a mega release of T2 (http://hddvdformat.blogspot.com/2008/01/full-details-of-terminator-2-jugdement.html) on March 20th in Germany. This will most certainly be a disk to own

4CheapCds (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=15&url=www.4cheapcds.com) are getting a lot of bad press on other forums. Some still waiting for refunds from beginning of Jan. They had T2 showing as In Stock and took a shed load of orders for it...when in actual fact it was not available.

I think this has been the case with some other titles including Rambo.

From a personal perspective, when doing a price comparison now, if it says either of the 2 companies mentioned in this thread as cheapest, I pay a bit more and get it from somewhere else now.

Absolutely shocking service.

I had ordered it from 4cheapcds, and sent them an email two weeks ago about it. I got a reply saying they would be cancelling the order, as they couldn't get stock. Maybe Foxy are having the same problem?

I had great service from 4cheapcd's. They told me to cancel as couldnt get hold of first blood. Cancelled my order no problem, then emailed me several days later to say they had film back in stock and did I want one. Film arrived a couple of days later!!

Yes, hi-def discs released through Studio Canal have a simulated PAL speed up for some reason, adjusting the pitch of the audio tracks. I can't imagine what the hell was going through their minds when they made that decision.

I can't remember if this only affects UK releases or all of Europe, but I think it's likely the French version will be exactly the same.

Total Recall from US amazon (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=25&url=http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000HIVOIM/thedvdforums-20) on Bluray is only $13.95. No speedup and region free.

I don't think it does as it seems to be the version recommended. I suppose I will find out when I watch it :)

Finally got First Blood on Saturday last week and after an email to foxy the same day I finally had a mail back from them today to let me know that Total Recall has been posted.

However, poor service and I would think seriously before ordering again.
