If it is from there then I assume it is dual voltage If so then you can use any lead that fits.

Are the pins round? In which case it's a european plug. Double check the voltage (240) on the tv but otherwise if it just takes a normal kettle/pc type lead you can use a different one

You should just be able to use a shaver adaptor.

yeah pins are round and it says 250v on the plug

If round then its not US but in fact a Euro import. US are two flat pins with optional third round pin for earth

Look at the product label or instruction manual to see the power rating. If it's more than 230 watts it'll probably blow the fuse on shaver socket adaptor with 1 amp fuse. The 'kettle' type leads for PCs are often fitted with a 5 amp fuse, so it should be suitable for most LCD TVs.

Hi get back to ebuyer and ask them for starters, is the lead permantly fixed to tv or do you plug a lead into tv,if you do then as stated above you could use a kettle type lead (same as a pc lead)

Is it actually legal to sell what must be a non UK product here? Im pretty sure ebuyer didnt advertise the fact it was a Euro import.

I had the same issues with a camera I bought a few years back. The charger base unit had a Euro plug so I sent it back. This was during the days when their customer service was abysmal so it took ages for a reund.

Actually a PC lead and a kettle lead are not the same type, try plugging a PC lead into your kettle and you'll see , I know because I had loads of PC leads lying around when I wanted to strip the wallpaper, but couldn't find the original lead anywhere.

Personally I'd just replace the plug, simple enough task and perfectly fine if the system says 250v.
