Only vague news on DVDFile. But why would they need 5 discs??? I'm thinking maybe they're going for single sided discs but then wouldn't that (in theory) still make them four sides short. I think i'm confusing myself.

Be interesting to see what our American cousins get in the way of extras. I've not bought seasons 1 or 2 yet.

Are they still doing the 'side A = broadcast episodes, Side B = 'Directors cut' con?

Maybe that's why :)

I didn't think of that. I wonder if they have the material, seeing as this is season 1. And if that is the case then they'll be a disc short.

Still i'm sure we'll find out sooner or later. Just a little intrigued, i know the Americans have been asking for a complete series for ages. So maybe Warners have pulled out the stops and put some decent extras on.

hmm - I'm a little intruiged too by the 5 disc reference, given that the R2 and R4 are 3 discs for the whole season.

In my early days of DVD, I was very surprised to see the lack of full season sets of various tv shows on R1 and these 'Best Of Friends' discs suck!

It'll be interesting to see how this pans out - see what R1 is gonna get. Somehow I'll doubt I'll replace my collection thus far (I've got the first three seasons on R4 and the French R2 of season 7 - sod Directors Cuts!).

It's worth noting that Season 8, Volumes 1 & 2 are due on R2 on 18th March. Looks like it's the 6 disc con again. But this *is* the last season, right?

I hope not. :( The last two of this series have been hilarious.

Yes, why is Season 7 released as 6 disks in the UK?

I bought it in France and the whole season is on 3 disks and it only cost £40!!!!

As far as I've read, there WILL be another season after 8. I agree also that the last couple have been very funny!!

They halved the number of episodes on each disc so they can rip us off even more

I'm guessing series 7 must have sold well as it looks like series 8 is going to go the same way.:(
