Sister wants a digital camera for chrimbo, one with the ability to take video with sound too, budget is £100, any recommendations from you experts thanks.
:)
Update: OK sister has now gone and bought a camera as she could not wait but she wants a proper video camera, any recommendations for a video camera for around 150 to 200 quid?

Look at the canon A series.
they do video as well. Not sure of the quality of the video though!
they have a £25 cashback at the mo so you can get the A550 for about £67, the A560 for a few £ more and the A570 for about £97 Amazon UK (http://www.thedvdforums.com/affiliatelink.php?localaffiliateid=8)
there is a review online of the video capabilities but cant find it to link to!
Cheers homerjhandley, I'm also in the market for one for a Chrimbo pressie, those Canons look good.
I can't see much of a difference between the A560 and the A570...any clues for a dummy like me? Cheers! :)

http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/canon/powershot_a570-review/ : there is an example of the vid
TOB : I am getting a 570 for xmas and had a load of research about them all!
the main difference i think is the 'is' has is the image stabilisor and has the ability for a few accessories (which are probably not a major influence)

with the £25 cashback (be quick, ends on tuesday i think!) all depends on what you want. I wanted a P&S camera that has more controls if need be, and budget allowed up to the 570, which by all accounts the image stabilising is quite a good feature.
So all depends on what you want to spend, its a minefield around the £100 price but the A series generally got good reviews and also helps i have a 350D SLR so should help in familarising with the new one.
This seems a decent deal -
