Found out a couple of weeks ago there was a new album out ("ToHeavenURide"). Bought it from her website (about a tenner delivered from the states) and really enjoying it. Its a live gig from a few years back with a very gospel feel & her voice is as good as ever

Anyway I noticed toiday she's touring the UK in Februaray. Nothing official on her website but I've heard she's playing Norwich Arts Centre (around 200ish people) so I shall be getting in there asap

Assumed there's some other fans on the forum.

Cheers

I bought Texas Campfire Tape, Short Sharp Shocked and Captain Swing on vinyl when they came out - all excellent albums - but then lost track of her subsequent career. The few more recent things I heard never really did anything for me - obviously heterosexuality wasn't good for her creativity - but I'll have to see if she's playing Brighton or somewhere and maybe pick up the new album when I'm in the stated in Dec...

Me too, although it was always her live shows which kept me interested rather than the albums. Her last one (that I bought anyway) was Kind Hearted Woman which I bought at the gig donkeys years ago.
She seems to have changed direction again & I'm enjoying the new album. Looking forward to the show next year

Might have to check out the new album. Was a fan of the first two albums, saw her on her first UK tour and again around the Kind Hearted Woman tour. Bought Deep Natural a few years back but didn't play it that much (not a comment on the album, just busy at the time and not revisited yet).

Is there a list of her UK dates anywhere? I've had a look around, but can only find one Scottish date.
