View Full Version : Unreal Tournament 3 Goes Gold For USA PS3

The PlayStation 3 version of Unreal Tournament 3 has gone gold! We got news last night that Unreal Tournament 3 has been approved by SCEA and has been released to North American manufacturing.

Midway has started talking to retailers to figure out exact timing and they will have a formal announcement early next week when everyone is back from the Thanksgiving holiday. My guess is that Midway will start shipping the title to North American retailers on Monday December 10th and it could show up in stores as early as December 11th but more likely toward the middle of that week.

I think PS3 owners are going to really enjoy UT3 this holiday so make sure you get it on your shopping list!

For PAL territories, specifically UK and Europe, we have a few localization-related tasks to complete and then we should be starting the certification process pretty soon. My best guess is early next year (January or February) for the game to ship over there. MARK REIN

Excellent! You've gotta really hand it to these developers. It must be a major nightmare on the developers coming up to release especially around xmas. I believe they sign a form saying they can work stupid hours to get things done.

I heard about one guy who had a car accident because he was working 20 hours a day on a game and all he could think about was how he was going to get to work.

Whatever happened with the 360 version? I heard something about Epic not being able to fit it on one DVD so it was causing delay.

On the epic forums mark rein said the xbox 360 version will start proper development in the spring. so i wouldent of thought you will see the game till at least the autumn or christmas next year.plus you wont see the mod support as you do on the ps3. so the ps3 version will be the best on consoles, the most xbox 360 will get is maps off marcketplace. the ps3 can download maps straight to the hardrive from the internet and use them aswell as mods.
