Hi,

I seem to recall there being mutterings of different Momento releases coming out, some obviously better than others.

Now with our R2, is it finally safe to buy Momento - and if so, which region?

Cheers,
A.

Never heard of Momento, do you mean Memento?:D

R2 Memento is probably the one to go for at the moment but it does not include a much talked about commentary from the director. But it does include the chronological time thingy if you are bothered by that which is included on the Canadian R1 release.

But to muddy things a little a R1 SE is meant to be released in April which might be worth waiting for.

OK - well spotted - and ta for the info. Will have to annoy my mate who is desparate for me to see it by hanging on a bit longer..

Cheers,
A.

I havent seen this movie yet. But I was thinking of buying the R1 SE when it comes out.

One little thing that I dont get is "Chronological Time". What is this? Could somebody please explain it to me?

Hi Kim

The chronological order edit doesn't make sense because you haven't seen the film which essentially runs backwards via flashbacks. The chronological order edit re-edits the scenes into the 'correct' order.

So you have the ability to see the movie in two different ways or am I missing the point completely? :)

Basically the film starts with what you would regard in a normal film as the end and the film Memento ends with what you would normally regard as the start. So in essence the film kinda runs backwards. It will make sense once you watch it.

Anyway the Chronological feature allows you to play all the sequences in 'chronological' order so that you hopefully may gain better knowledge of the story if it perplexed you in the original order (which it might).

So yes, you will have the option of seeing the film in tow ways. The right and wrong way or is that wrong and right way:D

How does the French version of this movie compare to other versions? I'm not too fussed about extras!

Thanks in advance
