My contract with T-Mo runs out on 23rd December, so am going to try an upgrade but odds are i'll leave them for 3. Anyway I know I need to obtain my PAC code and give this to 3 but how long before the end of the contract would be best? How long does it normally take?

You normally have to give 30 days written notice to end you contract, so if you do that, you should be able to obtain your PAC code when your contract finishes (23rd Dec).

Alternatively you can request your PAC code now and settle you contract now by paying off your remaining line rental up until Dec 23rd.

It usually takes 7 days to port across to another network.

Usually takes about 5 working days from the day you give your pac code to the new provider. i would suggest you get your pac code on the day your contract expires or else you'll have trouble with early termination fees being charged and then refunded on your bill.

u r able to get the pac code 30 days before you paym dwal ends. they will send it you a few days later with a vaility date of 30 days to use it...

once you use it, this acts as you confirmation of cancellation.. if you dont use it it wont cancel your paym deal with t-mobile....
