I pre-ordered it and was willing to give it a chance but the Eurogamer review (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=87312) just confirmed my worst fears so I cancelled.

Absolutely loved SimCity 2000 back in the day. But after that godawful Sims craze a few years back, my interest in the series has sadly decayed.

Absolutely loved SimCity 2000 back in the day. But after that godawful Sims craze a few years back, my interest in the series has sadly decayed.If they could capture the gameplay of SimCity 2000 using modern technology I'd buy it like a shot. SimCity 4 looked good but I never got the hang of it. It just seemed overcomplicated to me.

Still, I'm looking forward to Spore and The Sims 3.
