View Full Version : Can I get Sky+ cheaper than from Sky?

I have Sky HD and Sky Broadband downstairs, and a standard Sky box upstairs.
I would like to to upgrade the standard box to a Sky+ box.
Does anywhere sell them cheaper than Sky?

Highly unlikely you'll get it cheaper than through Sky.

You could try http://www.simplydigital.co.uk/ - they sell Sky stuff.

I'm sure you're aware but bear in mind you need two runs of coax to the LMB for Sky+ (instead of one for the standard Sky box); just like Sky HD as there are two tuners and if you intend to do unatended recording. I assume they've fitted a quad LMB so other than that you should be fine.

For a cheaper box maybe try eBay (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-582776-5826355) if you don't mind S/h or an independant installer (though they probably won't be any cheaper but sometimes they might have one from a return or something).

Do you have a multiroom subscription for the digibox upstairs? Multiroom subscribers should get the Sky+ facility for free. But if your upstairs digibox doesn't have a subscription, then I think you need to pay 10 quid to get the Sky+ functions.
