Dirty Harry Boxset Uncut?

Can anyone confirm if the Dirty Harry boxset is totally uncut? I seem to remember that Sudden Impact suffered some trims, but it doesn't mention this on the BBFC website.....

The R2 UK boxset does still contain BBFC cuts for The Dead Pool (12 seconds in total)

So, I'd go for the R1 set :p

Afraid not, there was another thread open some weeks ago and nobody knows whats been cut. I find it quite suprising that this is still cut as the BBFC recently have been quite relaxed about 18 cert films, they'd rather concentrate on the PG-12 stuff. However Warner may not of bothered resubmitting it I suppose!

Tried looking on melonfarmers and other cuts websites but no detail of whats been cut.

Could always e-mail the BBFC I suppose :D

The thing is, here in Holland we'll probably get the same BBFC cut version, even though originally it was never cut here. :mad:

Fear not, the Dutch version is uncut at 87:28 min.

I have the R1 boxed set and I assume the cut to The Dead Pool was to a close-up of Jim Carrey injecting his arm with heroin.

I don't know if the boxed set is cut though - the BBFC site only list the original panned & scanned video version from 1989 and WB would have had to have resubmitted it in widescreen.

Maybe someone with the UK version could check the running time at the end of the credits?

The Dutch version does indeed run for 87:28 min. My Dirty Harry boxset has been proudly standing on my DVD shelf for two weeks now. :)
But can someone confirm what the running time for the UK version of The Dead Pool is? Cos I'd like to know for sure. I'd also like to know what the distribution code on the UK disc is (Dutch disc has distribution code D5A). Also, none of the discs in the Dutch boxset have BBFC certificates printed on them. I assume the UK discs do.

On another subject: the Dutch box for the set sucks in comparison to the UK box. It's in the same brown colour as the snappers, with the R1 artwork. The black UK box with the Magnum on it is much better. And the Dutch box stupidly fits 5 Amarays. So it's a big pity that the discs are actually in snappers.

I did some maths:

Total running time of "The Dead Pool" uncut: 91 min. 04 sec.

After applying the 4% solution this comes to: 87 min. 25.44 sec.

So the Dutch disc at 87 min. 28 sec. seems indeed uncut.

The R2 UK Dead Pool runs for 87m25s...that's leaving right up until the disc changes tracks....
