My god - an award for Akiva Goldsman! He's the worst screenwriter of all time, having penned such drivel as The Client (adaptation), Lost In Space and Batman & Robin.

I don't think Ron Howard has made a decent movie since Parenthood (Backdraft still in my all time worst 3) and I'm still betting that 'A Beautiful Mind' will be a load of old cobblers!

There were a fair few dodgy results. Moulin Rouge for best score? Sweet Jeebus!

Nice to see Jim Broadbent get a bit of recognition though.
