Hello
When you recieve a text message does the phone tell you when it was SENT as opposed to when it was recieved?
Thanks in advance

Surely you know when you received it!
The time on all messages is the time it was sent (the timestamp forms part of the message).
For example, I've had a message arrive in the morning that was sent the previous night even though my phone was on and had network coverage. The message carried the time and date of sending despite only just being delivered to my phone.
Ricardodaforce, you might know when you read it but not necessarily when the phone received it. ;)
Steve,
Not sure on Nokia 6300 specifics, but the received item should carry the "sent" timestamp from the message centre. You may not see this immediately, I believe phones generally show the time they arrived on the phone as default, so you may need to go in to a message specific menu and look for an option to provide more details.
As ac said, despite appearing to have coverage, a phone may not get a message immediately after it is sent for one of many reasons (from phone not really being registered correctly on the network to hold ups between networks should you have ever ported).

Thnks so far peeps :)
My SE is great for this as under message details it tells me when recieved as well as sent - sometimes the sent thing is essential eg meet in boozer in 10
I remember my last nokia 5500? could not tell me about time sent
So, anyone got a 6300?
Generally you would highlight the message in your inbox and choose message details to see the extra information on a nokia.

That is just like on a SE :) BUT does it def work on a 6300?
Cheers
Yep, highlight the message in your Inbox (or whilst actually viewing the message) press the left soft key 'Options' and then choose 'Message Details'.
