Well, this is finally coming out Nov. 8th.
Anyone know of what extras will be on it?

Just got it.

No extras and 4:3 full frame. Avoid. :(

There was definitely some audio dubbing in parts so obvious, you have to wonder why Paramount had the cheek to issue this edition! Looks like a cocked up product all round. Still, the film itself was good given it was my first time watching it somehow. Reminded the girlfriend and I why we're going to live on a Greek island soon. :)

The Shirley Valentine DVD is complete rubbish. Cheap and nasty full frame rather than widescreen.

Regarding the dubbing, it was done for the US audience. You can't expect poor yanks to know what MFI is, so it's overdubbed as K-Mart. The comments from Shirley to the bloodhound particularly astound me. Surely an American can figure out what a 'nut rissole' is (it was overdubbed to tofu I think?) but surely (Shirley?) it wasn't REALLY necessary to overdub the word yoghurt, to emphasise the O ?

And the the Ford Cortina was overbudded to Escort as they didn't have the Cortina in the US, etc. etc. etc.

Makes me hate Americans - and Paramount, for a really sloppy DVD.
