Specifically the Nokia 6120.
I may be missing something here, but it seems the cheapest way to get a 6120, contract free, is to buy from "3" for £100 on PAYG, and get it unlocked. Is this possible? Or does the fact the "3" is a £G network have a bearing on things? It seems so simple, that I thought that I must be missing something, hence the question.

A quick google search suggests that it can be unlocked. But it seems to be less straightforward and more expensive to unlock than other handsets.

they say that it is married to the phoneI'm not sure what you mean by "married", but handsets that are locked to "Three" can be unlocked.

Going rate is about £35 for '3 unlocks via IMEI' - there should be no problem in this being done.
