As I'm very fond of of US Radio Disney friendly female Punk Pop like Ashlee Simpson,Everlife,The Veronica's,Avril Lavigne etc and enjoy Disney's music related output like their old S Club shows and both High School Musicals I decided to dip into the world of childrens show Hannah Montana, catching up with a lot of season 1 with season 2 waiting in the wings.
I was extremly suprised to find how enjoyable the show was as I found laugh out loud moments in most episodes.
Mr Achy Breaky Heart - Billy Ray Cyrus plays Hannah's Dad.He does a good job but the moustache for his secret ID isn't up to much!
The best character in the show is Miley/Hannah's friend Lilly played by Emily Osment (Sixth Senses sister) as she gets the best lines.she's really a watered down Disney style version of "My So Called Life"'s Rayanne Graff minus the underage sex, drug addiction and booze problem!
I'm enjoying the show a lot so I'll continue to play catch up.
I'm sure I'm in the minority here but any fans?

My daughter adores it. She's 6 years old though!

But seriously, it could be worse and Billy Ray Cyrus is surprisingly decent as a comic actor.

Rather oddly Larry David appeared in an episode recently - as himself. The kids in the show even referenced Curb Your Enthusiasm which I thought was strange given that it's hardly a 'Disney Channel-style' show is it?!

I do look at it as a kids programme so I am impressed by what I've seen.
There's some decent humerous dialog peppered throughout each episode alongside a few slapstick moments that merit a chuckle or two.
There's a bit too much "Pie/cake in the face" action mind you!

The girl's live shows are in such demand that one six year old killed off her dad for tickets...

Ha! That's fantastic! Unless the rules state it had to be "truth" she should get to keep them!

I wanna know which is her real hair colour lol

With the current TV drought I thought I give this a try and as it turns out it is quite funny actually, much to my surprise. The lead Hannah/Miley reminds me of the character Haley in One Tree Hill, albeit 5 years younger. The show itself is very straight forward, which is fine for its target demographic but there are some good one liners in there which raises a chuckle or 2.

Just to let you know, there is a big screen film version in production at the moment, due for release early next year. My girls can't wait :)

Sounds like the mum had more than a hand in it though! Bit telling of the US mentality that they decide to claim her dad died. I'm sure they knew full well that the families of those killed in the military get some extra special treatment

Oh yeah, totally cynical to do that but kudos all the same! :D
plus the mum Priscilla Ceballos is a hot slut! :D
They should get the tickets just for her eyebrows!

According to radiotimes online (but not the Sky epg or Five Life website so this is just a maybe heads-up!),
Season 1 starts tomorrow morning (Jan 28th) on Five Life at 9am.
Looks like 3 episodes each weekday morning 9-10.30am.
Well worth recording (especially if you've got little 'uns) as the complete seasons aren't on dvd yet.
As above the listing info conflicts depending on where it's listed so I dunno what's accurate?
