Do you always root for the person to win the big money?

or

Do you just love it when their dreams and hopes are shattered when they end up with next to nothing?

Why not ask in the Deal or no deal thread?

It depends on the personalty of the contestant in the hot seat, if they are a likeable person then yes I want to see them do well, but if they come across as anything other than a decent person then I am hoping that they end up with just a penny or something.

I find the contestants who have a 'system' most irritating, as if the show isn't anything more than a game of chance. The ones who are convinced they have control over what's going on rather than being victims of blind chance. I love it when they come unstuck.

I find the whole "all friends together" comaraderie to be utterly orchestrated (because it is of course) & insincere.

Everyone is happy for the person in the "crazy chair" (:oh-hum:) because they are guaranteed a turn in it themselves. Look at other game shows where people are pitted against each other--they often connive, deceive & lie to beat their opponent.

Deal Or No Deal's insincerity & hotel-based after show bonding fits the age we live in...materialistic, false & shallow.

I like to see people lose because any person sad enough to take time out of their lives to appear on it deserves to leave with nothing.
