Amrays?

Not sure what alpha ones are, but i bought some from 121CDR and they look the same as any of my other DVD's so i think they are amaray, unless you can shed a bit more light onto what alpha cases are.

They look like Amarays but don't have the official stamp on them. Spindles are different too, but they look just as good on the shelf.

Isn't the difference between Amarays and Alphas....

Amarays release the disc by pushing the centre tabs located in the centre of the disc spindle.

Alphas only have a round slot where you literally pull the disc off the spindle.

Easier way to check is that Amaray's have 'Amaray' moulded in the inside back cover, bottom left I think.

It's a well known scientific fact, although there is no proof, that el-cheapo non-Amaray cases are the main factor in initiating that scourge of the industry, DVD rot.

Be careful out there.
