Since there seemed to be a bit of confusion in the other thread, perhaps it's best to have a seperate one.
Only seen the first double episode so far, but enjoyed that a lot - Jamie Pressly is as awesome as ever and there was a nice cameo from Ben Foster too.
I'm wondering how long they'll keep up with Earl in jail? A lot of comic potential I think but I'd like to see him back on the outside relatively soon.

in jail all season apparently. in fact the ending of ep3 sort of reinforces longer rather than sooner.

I quite like they're getting away from Earl's list, and having him do good for other reasons. There's only so many things that they can do off of the list, so its prolonging the life of the series.

Not really enjoying this season so far - surely his list is far less limiting than jail!
i watched the 1st 2 seasons all together and am enjoying this one too. seems to be more flashbacks than the previous ones

Agreed, I'm loving this one. I particularly like the continuing intertwining of characters throughout the three seasons - a touch of the 'lost' flashbacks if you ask me. Anyway, makes for interesting viewing IMHO.

The "Creative Writing" episode was one of the best episodes yet - Darnell's song in particular was absolutely classic.
He did nail that part perfectly. What a crooner!
I thought the latest episode was complete tosh (except for crabmans song - earl rapping was cool).
A real let down to what has been a very good season imo.
I thought it was terrible as well. I ended up browsing the web with it on in the background for the last few mins as I'd just about lost the will to live.
I also thought the latest one was just crap. I know its light entertainment and they dont take themselves seriously, but it was just too cringy and cack.
Last episode was pretty good and that girl from Charmed is hot, I want to see the full photo ;)
Lets hope they have gotten the pointless musical out of their system. It's a double episode this week and it's another COPS one.
Tim stack, tim stack,
set him on fire,
set him on fire,
watch him burn to death
i like these cops eps
Nowhere as good as the first COPS episode, but made me chuckle a few times. :)

Yeah it went on too long but there was some funny moments.

Haven't watched the latest episode but would agree that the Creative Writing episode was terrible.

It really has lost it's spark.
Not sure what's happened, the pace is just awful... Some bits are like they're phoned in, some bits just smack of trying too hard for a laugh.
I thought S1 was superb, shame it's lost it's way.
I still enjoy it but it's a bit samey these days. Also they way they are shoehorning Earl's tasks around the prison plot is silly.
4 to go before they run out of episodes.

Yeah I agree, I really enjoyed the first season and enjoyed the second season. This third season has been pretty silly, it's had a few chuckles, but it's gone downhill in a big way, I think it's jumped the shark. :(

Season 3 has certainly been quite the let down - Most of the other shows that are out each week I watch straight away, but I haven't been too bothered with Earl and still need to catch up on 2 - 3 eps.

S3 returns on April 3rd. Be interesting to see where they go after the ending of 3x13.
