Well it seems the boyfriend is dead (or is he?!)
This was really cliched this week but it was fun in a cartoon sort of way.
When asked if she wanted work for the company I expected her to say "Do I get an amazing theme tune?" and also was waiting for "We're the good guys" as a reply to "Who are you?" when the survivor asked.
We even got a cheesy training montage but it was nice to see a bit more on how the bionics worked.
Sarah also came back but no Bionic showdown this week.I was also disappointed that Jamie didn't wrestle a grizzly bear instead we got one of the most pointless plots in the history of tv with all that rubbish about poisonous gas.
I did think Michelle's acting had improved and I also thought she had put on a bit of weight since the pilot but maybe I'm mistaken.
I'll look forward to next week still as I know what to expect now from the show.

Indeed.

I was hoping that during the training montage we'd actually see the trainer point out that it might help to exercise the non-bionic arm as well.

Entertaining, cheesy episode this week. Disappointed at how quick & easy she decided to join the team though. All it lacked was some "Eye of the Tiger" during the training montage.

I wonder how long it'll take Mr Washington this time to verbally/physically abuse one of his work collegues & get fired? :D

oh, she was doing pullups, i didnt really notice :n0rty: I dont quite see the point of exercising bionic bits, its like revving my knackered 1.4 nissan sunny and after 3 weeks it buffs up into a bently. She'd be better off having a service :n0rty::n0rty:

Quite liking the series so far, its very cheesy and popcorny but it will do over winter. Since the story this week was so brushed over i was half expecting the gas thing to be a made up event by "the agency" to get her on their side.
Seems odd to have the main boss as the boss from Robocop in this as well, she's lucky he didnt order them to rip her other arm off like Murphys!

Why did they not explain who was behind the gas? Was it the Army? Considering their mission, you would think they would not surrender so easily.

The gas storyline was half arsed at best.

Any title sequence yet? (still not able to watch for a while!)

Yup, mostly clips from the pilot plus shots of someone behind smoked glass. It's not great. I am enjoying the show though.

The title sequence was Pants.

Haven't got around to seeing it yet, but apparently it had quite a step drop-off in audience numbers, so maybe it's not such a sure thing anymore:

Apparently this was actually a compromised mix of the second and third episodes (they did this because they weren't at all keen on the way Glen Morgan was taking things, hence him leaving the show), so that explains why she joined up so quickly and why the gas plot was half baked. Even without considering that I found the episode to be enjoyable fun. There is lots of room for improvement (especially the dialogue in places) but it's definitely on the right track.

I particularly like the fact they are making a point that she isn't all bionic. The bit where she lamped the soldier/mercenary with her normal arm was great. :D

That story seems to be written by one of the numpties that posts on IMDB. Couldn't he just report the news without resorting to slagging off the show and the cast members. :oh-hum:

Edit: I see I'm not alone in thinking this based on the comments underneath the article. It seems he based the story on (now removed) comments from AICN users.

I thought it was pretty good fun to be honest. Ryan's impressive chest got quite an airing in the training montage

Exactly, both down 14% on the prems, which is not bad really.
Despite facing week two of ABC’s Private Practice and NBC’s Bionic Woman, CBS’ established Criminal Minds flexed some winning muscle at 9 p.m., with a 10.0/15 in the overnights. Private Practice was second with an 8.4/13 (down 14 percent from last week’s debut: 9.8/15), and Bionic Woman third at an 8.0/12. Comparably, Bionic Woman dipped by 14 percent from one week earlier. Consider the losses for both new dramas typical. And consider these second week results still positive. When the fast nationals are posted at PIFeedback, expect another first-place finish in the hour among adults 18-49 for Bionic Woman, with Private Practice expected to be a close second.

Finally got around to seeing this episode now and - wow - that was poor. If that was the first episode I'd never watch it again!

Will give it another few weeks to see if the effect of hiring and firing showrunners kicks in, but if it stays at this standard I'm dropping it like a stone!

Not half as much fun as the pilot, but I'll give it a while to find its feet. Disappointed there wasn't more of Katee Sackhoff this week too. Nice in-joke having BSG (Exodus pt 2?) playing on the TV in the survivor's house though.

Boink!

Not bad, bit of light entertainment. I've watched much worse (Painkiller Jane, anyone?).

The hours approaching, to give it your best
You've got to reach your prime.
That’s when you need to put yourself to the test
And show us a passage of time
Were going to need a montage (montage)
Ooh it takes a montage (montage)

Sure a lot of things happing at once,
Remind everyone what’s going on (what’s going on)
And when every shot you show a little improvement
Just show it all or it will take to long
That’s called a montage (montage)
Ooh we want montage (montage)

And anything that we want to know
From just a beginner to a pro,
You want a montage (montage)
Even rocky had a montage (montage)

(Montage...montage)

Anything that we want to know
From just a beginner to a pro,
You need a montage (montage)
Ooh it takes a montage (montage)

Always fade out in a montage,
If you fade out
It seem like more time has passed in a montage
Montage

Don't know how much longer I'll keep up with this tbh.

Nice cleavage shots though.

It's not that bad, the second episode was not as good as the first but hopefully it will get better when the plot starts to unravel.

I had a spare hour so I decided to watch this again. It is fun stuff to watch, but the writers do need to get smarter soon because too many episodes of so so plots masked by good action scenes will eventually do it harm in the ratings. I just worry that the reason why the show runner was ousted was that the next few episodes may follow the same track. The changes behind the scenes (they got in a lot of the people from Friday Night Lights) may improve the direction but will the audience hang on until episode 4 or 5 to see the difference? I hope so.
