Evil Dead Region2 Playback Problems

....I picked up a cheap copy of this film yesterday and when I went to watch it last night i discovered that I could not get any sound from the main feature.
I managed to get sound from the Sam Raimi/Robert Tabert commentary track no problem, but the Bruce Campbell commentary track would only play the first 30 seconds or so, then would go back to the beginning.
The copy was second hand but entirely unmarked.
Has anybody else experienced/heard of this problem?
I'm not too bothered cos' I know that I'll get my money back...but i was looking forward to watching the film for the first time on DVD.

Haven't heard of that problem,mine plays alright.Go get your money back and buy the R1 Elite version instead. ;)

I rented the DVD... didn't buy it because the film doesn't enthuse me that much...

But there was a fault with the copy I rented. The menus wouldn't work -- they were pixellated and glitchy. But the movie, and all soundtracks, worked okay.

my copy worked fine.the films pretty poor but the Bruce Campbell commentary is one if not the best that i have heard and the only reason i'm keeping the disc.
