Not sure if this should be here or elsewhere but anyway:
Wife ordered phone from o2 at the weekend for delivery yesterday, I was tracking the delivery up to the point it said delivered and signed for with my surname - strange I thought I've been at home all day waiting for it and I hadn't signed for it.
Turns out o2's postcode database is wrong, and the wrong address was on the package, we live on something mews, something road, but sometimes the postcode says something road only or something road, something mews (wrong way round), so package for number 18 something mews, went to 18 something road.
I went to 18 something road and asked them, they said the package arrived but got given back to the driver. I'm inclined to believe them as they seemed nice about it, and we know where they live so would be silly to lie if it came down to reporting it as stolen.
O2 now say they will look into it but it's been signed for therefore "we have it"
DHL say we need o2 to contact them
Anyone had this sort of trouble before ?
Any suggestions ?
Could we just charge back if nothing happens about it to get our money back?
We will both be switching networks (we are both on o2 at the moment) soon I needed a new phone anyway, but there's no chance I'm going to let o2's postcode database play with my address again.
