Was gonna put in 'pooter forum, but i figured there might be peeps that would talk about it here. Move if you want Modmen:D .

The DVD trailer is here. http://www.michaeldvd.com.au/ it's an AVI file. I'm playing it as a quicktime file. I get sound and no picture.:(

Anyone know what i should do????.

I can't actually find the trailer you're talking about so I haven't tested it myself - but this sounds like its in DivX format - so just make sure you have the latest version installed....

go HERE (http://www.divx.com/download/downloadlist.php?typeid=1) and choose the last file to do that...or right click and choose save as on this LINK (http://download.divx.com/divx/DivX412Codec.exe)

and run the file via Windows Media Player - all should be fine.

Give me a direct link to the trailer and i'll d/l and test.

Sorry Kanedaa, it looks like it's been taken off the site. Strange.

Anyway this was the link http://www.michaeldvd.com.au/NewsFiles/BTTFDVDTeaser.zip . I'm not sure if you right click 'save as' it'll work that way.

I'll also try your method aswell.

that link still works. Its not DivX though - if it was it'd be far better quality than it is!

They're using Intel Indeo v5.10 Decompressor - Download and install this FILE (http://www.animetools.cjb.net/iv5setup.exe) - quite big at 1.9mb.

should fix things though. Also - i'm not quite sure what you meant by 'Im playing it as a quicktime file' but if you're trying to run it via the Quicktime player then it wouldn't work as Quicktime doesn't like AVIs.

That'll be why i'm not having much luck then. Anything i D/L automatically converts to quicktime. The quality does seem a little naff from what i've heard.

Probably be easier to see if they end up putting it on the R2 version of Jurrassic Park 3 as they did with R4.

Thanks for your efforts Dave. I'll scope out your links, they may prove useful in future.

EDIT: On a similar note Dave, is the Panic Room trailer on your webpage the new one or the old MPAA one???

Panic Room trailer is the one from the Apple website - its the same version that was previously on my site, but better quality. I think you may be referring to the one that was on David Finchers webspace or something like that, I never managed to get that one or the link.

so its the Official trailer basically ;)

Just updating my site now actually to include recent Apple updates...
